Nell was the litter sister to Finn and Fitz and as she was not too keen on showing she was overshadowed by them in the Ring . Not so at home however as she quickly took up the mantle of her mum and no one messed with Nell! She was kind, sweet and funny and was well respected by all. Nell won a number of Green Stars and a couple of CACIB's but we were busy and didn't pursue her Irish Title.
Not only was Nell a robust character she had amazing resilience in the face of adversity.Not long after her 11th birthday she lost the use of her hind legs and despite scans and tests galore there was no diagnosis. After 2 weeks of being hospitalised over the Christmas period and not improving she was given steroids and almost immediately started to move her legs.She came home and with lots of physio returned to almost full strength to live another 5 happy years in control of her domain!
