As we had just moved house and did not have the time or facility to bath two we decided Tony would just take Hal as he was enough to be dealing with so Shadow remained at home. Hal went well and was well placed but the star was "Shona" who is owned by Frances Richards, sadly Chris was not there to see her fabulous win as the move dictated she remain at home watching the results come in on BCX. Needless to say we were over the moon!
Another long but very enjoyable and successful day. Shadow was the only PD and had to give way to his sister for BP. Hal was a good boy and we couldn't have asked for more from him and Hettie was a little star again. Sincere thanks to our judge, breed specialist, Mrs. Gill Burfitt (Breaksea) and to the Group judge Mrs. Patsy Hollings (Gunalt). What a day for Bearded Collies too as our BOB , Ch Caldermist Kiss In The Dark JW ShCM took the Group and our BPIB , Talraz Relight My Fire took the PG !!
A lovely venue , good weather (until late afternoon ) and time spent with good friends, then Hettie Shadow and Badger made us proud with their results and we toped off the day with Badger winning £10 and us winning a bottle of Shiraz on the raffle! Thanks to Mrs. Kirstie Forster ( Megalmar) for thinking so highly of Shadow and Hettie and to Mrs.J. Marshall (Jepejo) for Badgers BOB and Mr. David Howarth (Arkview/Moorbrook) for Badgers BVIS.
What a fabulous day. 2 little stars! Thank you to Mr. John Treick (Lornaville) for Shadow's BPIB and Mr. Roy Brandon (Lornaville) for his PG1 and also to Mt. Mr. Norman Hughan (Syrinx for his RBPIS. Thanks also to Cath Whimpanny (Bunnyridge) for Bafger's Best Vet. terrier and to Mr. Hughan for BVIS.
What a great day despite the rain and the rings being at opposite ends of the showground! Many thanks to Mrs. Frances Carlton (Thistegate) for thinking so highly of our Skyes and to Mr. Barry Croft (Malcro), Mr. Keith Baldwin (Nightstorm) and Mr. Derek Smith (Clickam) for Shadow's wins and for the Stakes and Group placings.
So delighted to see Shadow take BPIB , again he gave his all and was shortlisted in the Group under Mr. Geoff Corish (Sealaw). Our thanks go to Breed specialist Ellen Sullivan (Navillus) for sending him through.
Really pleased with Shadow, took all in his stride and we couldn't have asked more of him. Thank you to breed judge Mr. Mark James ( Waterley) and to Stakes judge Mr. Kevan Berry (Ricksbury).
Well what a day , the sun shone again all day long, we had a great day with lots of friendly company, we won some money and Isla took us all by surprise! Delighted with her and Badger and thank the judge Carolyne Scott (Wolferlow) for appreciating them. Hal brought up the rear in his class so has had to put up with Shadow strutting about making sure he knows he was well beaten ! There was only one class for Beardies and the judge was Hazel Fitzgibbon (Smiliesam).
What a super day ; the sun shone endlessly, we had good company and the dogs were well rewarded for their performance. Many thanks to breed specialist Mrs. Diane Mottram (Mybeards) and to Mr. Robin Searle (Surlson) for thinking so highly of them.
Lovely Show as always. The weather is usualy kind for this show and today was no exception. Delighted with the lads , they both showed their little socks off. Many thanks to judge Mr. Tom Johnston (Feldkirk)
Absolutely delighted with both Badger and Isla's wins today even though Isla was not exactly fully cooperating and also had Chris to contend with! Many thanks to our judge , breed specialist Mr. Harold Gay (Malsville) for appreciating their qualities and also to Mrs. Fran Kaye (Danfrebek) for her award in the Stakes class.
Well, what a day! Didn't start too well with Shadow producing enough drool to float the Queen Mary on the way there but his performance was that of a veteran once we had landed bless him. Hettie exceeded our expectations particularly as she had Chris to contend with (never easy) and then Fern just put the gold seal on the day, she never stopped showing bless her. Many thanks to breed specialist Shelagh Walker (Walkerbrae)for appreciating Shadow and to all rounder Lynne Salt (Woodlyn) for her awards to Fern and Hettie and to BIS judge Diane Mottram (Mybeards) Breed specialist and all rounder for BIS and BVIS.
Only took Fern and the puppy ( 5mth old Talraz Light Up The Sky for Kilfinan aka "Shadow") as we were en route to Ardingly for a judging appointment the following day. Fern was far happier today and went really well to win this class of lovely Ch. bitches. Many thanks to judge Mrs. Tricia Poole (Benastric) for thinking so highly of her.
Fantastic day with "Badger" being our star. The lad didn't put a paw wrong all day which is not what could be said for naughty "Isla " or even "Fern" who was just bored! Many thanks to our judges Mrs. J. Ward for the Stakes classes and to Mrs. Jane Maxwell (Bardrestan) for breed. Also massive thanks to Mrs. Christina Chapman (Bukris) for "Badgers" Reserve Best Veteran In Show. So delighted .
What a great day . Local shows are always friendly with lots of laughs and if a little long waiting for BIS worth it if a good outcome and today Badger , although he was the only Terrier Veteran went so well in the challenge for BVIS we were delighted and thank judge Mr. Wendell Moore for this award. Hal also delighted us taking G1 under Judge Mrs. Val Geddes in a super Group for which we thank her very much.
Delighted with the performance of both Fern and Hal today. Unfortunately our Bitch judge, breed specialist Mr.Tony Bush ( Manortonway) was not able to take up his appointment due to ill health so we had a replacement in FCI top all rounder , Mr. Kari Jarvinen from Finland and although Fern was not to his liking she still put up a super performance and that is all we can ask of them. Hal went well and gained a creditable place under judge, breed specialist, Mr. Rob Ballantyne ( Bustroc) for which we thank him.

Well , what can I say? We were so proud of both these beautiful Skyes today. Badger has never gone so well and although he was 2nd of 2 we were so proud of him as he looked super. Isla has fulfilled so many of our dreams and today was the ultimate. Our only regret was that Gail Marshall , their breeder, as not there to see them . Gail passed away on 13th Feb. and that was the only cloud on the horizon as she would have been so proud. Can't thank our judge, Carol Collins, enough for a day will never forget.
Pleased with Hal and Isla today . Not sure the Judge Mrs. Helen Gutteridge (Qiqern) was too enamoured with the Beardie entry but Isla was the star of the show so thanks go to Mr. Alastair Moss ( Ewtor/Davigdor) for Terrier Group and to Mrs Margaret Wildman ( Wildax) for BIS. Absolutely over the moon!
Lovely show as always with great presents for all the dogs. Thank you to our judge , Breed specialist Mrs. Sylvia Newton ( Sylvabrae).
Thanks to breed judge Mrs. Chrissie Pelligrini (Avebury) and to Stakes judge Mr. Keith Baldwin (Nightstorm) for their awards.
