Another super day for Frances and Shona! So proud of them both. Many thanks to breed specialist Suzanne Moorhouse ( Willowmead) for a lovely day and to Frances for showing Shona so well. She never put a foot wrong bless her ( Shona , not Frances!).
Well what a lovely surprise when Frances rang to tell us Shona had had a good day under 3 different judges: Breed judge: Tuula Pratt ( Finland), Group judge: well known all rounder Mary Deats (Aradet) and Gundog specialist and another well known all rounder Sandra Marshall Res. BPIS.
Absolutely delighted !
Many thanks to Dobermann specialist and all rounder Tali Creme (Izralight) for these awards although Fern was the only puppy in her group! so won by default but she did win a nice class of 4 in Junior! ( More importantly she is beginning to settle to the job!)
Congratulations to Philippa and Gypsy, quite an achievement!
Thanks to Judge Mrs. M. Duckworth ( Maricol) for appreciating Harry and thanks to Sarah for showing him to these awards.
A friendly show, a friendly judge in the shape of all rounder and Terrier specialist Mr. Gadd ( Gadkey) and a pleasant day out but Fern found something lurking in the corner of the ring that she was convinced was out to get her and unfortunately it affected her movement. It's all experience but let's hope whatever it was doesn't accompany her to the next show!
A nice weekend for Philippa and Gypsy made even better for her when Colby won the Herding Puppy Group. Congratulations !
Really enjoyed the show with some good company and pleasing results. Little Shona showed her socks off to win a lovely class.Fern could do with taking a leaf out of her book , she is far too full of her own self importance!!
Delighted with the others as they all put in a good performance in well filled classes.
Thanks to breed specialist and all rounder Kevin Young ( Sunkap).
Not able to get to this show but delighted to hear from Frances Richards that Shona had equipped herself well to be placed in good company under Breed Specialist Linda Evans ( Pattishawl).
Many thanks to breed specialist Mr. Keith Derry (Vistca) for these awards and the following critique for Fern :
"What a little star. Quality shone out. Feminine slate, soundly constucted, good shape and balance, strong neck leading into well laid shoulders, floated round the ring with drive. Very well presented and handled. BP."
Thanks to Phillipa Smedley for the news that Gypsy earned 5 points this weekend towards her Can. Ch. Congratulations to Phillipa also for a very successful weekend with her new puppy Colby (Chetcote Never Say Never Again) who is 7mths old and by Madison's brother , Thomas ( Can. Ch. Chetcote The Stargazer HIC), who also took 4 BPIB awards beating Gypsy for 3 BOW's and earning 6 points along the way. What a good weekend!

We were unfortunately not able to enter this show as Tony was judging Portuguese Water Dogs.
Thanks to Breed specialist Nellian Edwards ( Nellbrook).
We were thrilled to hear that, at the tender age of 8 months, Gypsy took BOB today handled by her owner Philippa Smedley. Philippa bred Gypsy's mum, Dottie, and always handles her dogs herself often against professionals. The win was all the more meaningful when she discovered the judge, Letitia Betts, was from Scotland!
Flash is the litter brother to Hettie ,Gypsy and Harry and due to limited time, his dislike of travelling and the others being given priority he hasn't been out and about so to give him a taste of life "on the show scene" we took him to a small local show where he could take in the sights and sounds of which he was not in the least bit bothered. He took it all in his stride, even arrived looking half decent and came away with a big bag of dog food and a rosette with "Champion "emblazoned on the tail ribbons. Nice thought but we're not counting any chickens!!!!
Thanks to judge Kim Lathaen.
Many thanks to Breed specialists Dryston Furby ( Pepperwood) and Cath Parker ( Osmart) for a lovely day.
Many thanks again to Breed specialist Cath Parker (Osmart) for this super win made all the more special as our lovely Skye is only 14 months old and has only been sparingly shown.
His other significant wins were at National Terrier in April 2011 when he won Junior and Novice under Breed specialist Murial Bailey ( Marjayne)and was 2nd in well filled Stakes classes at Open shows under breed specialist Sue McCourt ( Silhill) and all rounder Geoff Corish .
Many thanks to Breed specialist Ann Wilding (Bendale) for appreciating Harry and Sarah today.
Delighted to hear that Harry had been so successful today under breed specialist Lesley Thomlinson (Coalacre).
