Been busy recently so haven't been able to get to any shows and Hettie was in season so she had to stay at home. Jinny was accompanied by Badger who is a pest when the "ladies" are in season! He didn't mind as he spent the day being fussed. Delighted with Jinny winning a class of 13 very nice Veterans under breed specialist Mrs. Kay Farrier ( Kayanarra).
Thnk you to judges Amanda Ellis (Eastonite) and Terrier judge Martin Lockett (Jaideld) .
Lovely show with a friendly atmoshere. Delighted with Hal and Hettie today, thank you to judge, breed specialist Mrs. Linda Peirson (Kiltondale).
Unfortunately our judge Mr. Bob Cross (Tarscavaig) was not able to complete his appointment due to health problems. Our dogs were not what Mr. Don Moir ( Winaria) was looking for but we were pleased with how they went . Hettie was unplaced in a big quality Open class so no disgrace.
Well, how the mighty do fall! dog showing is such a leveller. Isla obviously decided she did not have to put in any effort now that she is a Champion ( subject to KC confirmation) and refused to move! She is not really keen on indoor shows and we were made aware in no uncertain terms. Consequently she was withdrawn from her classes. Badger however did us proud. Our judge for breed was specialistMrs. Corinne Garland Collins (Bhuidh)and our replacement judge for Specials was Mr. Mick Oxley . Tracey Hamilton-Shaw (Shawrigg) was unfortunately not able to attend.
Good day at a lovely show. Both went so well , really pleased with them. Thank you to our breed judge Mrs. Trish Buchanan Hislop ( Ciopar) and to our Stakes judges Mr. Ian Blackshaw and Dr. Ron James .
Well we were tickled pink to receive Isla's 3rd CC so soon and then to go BOB was the icing on the cake! Many thanks to our judge breed specialist Mrs. Monica Barraclough ( Wemoway). Hal was not the judges choice today but we were delighted with how he went . Our judge today was an all rounder from Ireland, Mr. Paul Lawless (Revloch).
Tony went solo while Chris and Badger were busy promoting Skye Terriers at Cheshire Game Fair. Badger said he was glad he hadn't gone to the show as our representatives didn't exactly cover themselves in glory being 2nd of 2, 1st of 1 and then 4th of 5! Showing is a great leveller to be sure! Isla did , however, receive the last 2 points for her ShCM.Our judges for the day were Mr. Tony Iley ( Ileyda) and Mr. Brian Atwell (Xanwil).
Thank you to our judge today who was Mr. Jeff Horswell (Drakesleat).
Nothing much to say but WOW what a day and thanks to judges Mr. Dave Anderton ( Ardensax) and Mrs. Jackie Vaughan Jones ( Pyon), who are both Breed specialists, for thinking so highly of our dogs .
As always Midshires is a great show , very friendly with a super big field to run the dogs and spacious rings. Delighted with how all the dogs went today . Thank you to judges Lynn Dumbrell ( Bethlyntee) who judges Bitches and David Hyde ( Natterjack) who judged Dogs. .
After a very wet start the day cheered up in more ways than one with Isla winning her first CC after 6 Reserves! Absolutely delighted and even more so to see her brother Glorfindel Shadow Boxer ShCM take his 2nd CC and BOB. Great day for their breeder Mrs. Gail Marshall. Thank you so much to judge Mr. Bob Cross (Tarscavaig). We had planned to take Hal and Badger as well as Isla and Fern however the lads brains weren't quite were they should have been having had 2 bitches in season for a couple of weeks so we thought it best to leave them at home .
Jinny hasn't been out for years and this was her first Veteran class so delighted with her win today.Hal went well too and together they took 2nd place in Brace Stakes which was pretty good as they had never done it before. Delighted to see Shona win a good Limit class with Frances Richards Thank you to judges Mr. Kevin Young ( Sunkap) for breed and to Mr. Jeff Horswelll ( Drakesleat) for Stakes .
Thanks to Jeff Horswell ( Drakesleat) for the awards today, the two "Terrors" went quite well!
Thank you to Mr. Haydn Platts ( Camberwick) and Mrs. Jane Lilley .
Thank you to Judge Ms. Linda McCormick ( Pastoral breeds) and to Mr. M. Oxley ( Terriers).
Very few Terriers entered and only one Beardie so not exactly hitting the heights but both Scarlett and Isla went well enough under pastoral judge Terri Brand and terrier judge Colin Wills.
Over the moon with Badgers performance today but back to Boot Camp for Isla! Many thanks to our judge Mr. Martin Phillips ( Jaeva) and to Group judge Mr. Jeff Horswell ( Drakesleat).
Another two good performances from the Beardies this time. Really pleased with them . Our judge was breed specialist Mrs. Cath Moffatt (Kyleca).
Both went well today , delighted with Isla's RCC under judge Mr. Peter Bakewell.
Tony was flying solo today as Chris was busy hampering ( sorry handling) Badger and Isla at the Skye Open Show. Hal excelled himself and our judge was one of our top all rounders Mr. Andrew Brace ( Tragband).
Least said the better! As Tony was at Working and Pastoral Breeds of Wales Chris had to enter the ring with a very uncooperative Isla . The results speak for themselves! Our judge was a breed specialist from Finland : Hanna Granlund ( Buckwheaters).
Badger excelled himself again but we are beginning to think he must be the 3rd best dog in the world! Isla was still not showing at her best but did enough to earn her a lovely small green card. Many thanks to our judge Breed Specialist Mrs. Cath Parker ( Osmart/ Doubletop).
Long , long day and Isla was so naughty in the ring but Badger went well so he earned another Gold Star, bless him. Our judge today was Mr. Jim Falconer (Scarista).
Delighted with Badger and Isla , lovely day although a long one as we were 3rd in the Ring . Many thanks to Breed specialist Mrs. Jill Hadleigh ( Reignmakers) for her awards today. That's it for Crufts this year, it is a hectic and very tiring show.
Great start to the new year, delighted with both Hal and Fern who performed well in a very crowded , noisy Hall. Many thanks to our judge , Mr. Graham Hill (Dimland) was awarding CC's for the first time in Beardies but who is an experienced all rounder.
Hettie and Isla decided to come into season so Badger was left to fly solo . He did well considering he had his Uncooperative head on today! Many thanks to our judge Mr. Richard Kinsey (Kitarn).
Absolutely over the moon with both Badger and Hettie today as both performed well. Hettie also picked up her final points for her ShCM . Many thanks to our judge Linda Mcnamara ( Kehala) for Hettie's wins and to Vanessa Cox ( Petitpaws) for Badgers awards.
